Dan didn’t perform in the first show, but he was in the audience. He photographed the band’s second meetup, an energizing performance during the 10,000 person march in Portland protesting the war in Iraq. It was then that Dan knew he wanted to be a part of the inspirational musical juggernaut. He has been a drummer since his childhood, playing bass drum and snare in the marching bands in grade school and partly through high school. But MarchFourth’s drum core was already packed, so he took on writing innovative cymbal parts for the bands original scores and crashing away with a combination of madness and skill.
When Dan’s not wearing his sternum protector and stuffing earplugs in his head, you can find him basking in the warm love of his wife and daughter, doodling on the computer, or assisting photographers on catalog shoots.
